About The Blog
Welcome to my super chill blog!
Hello!
My name is Noah and I am the creator of the CatchingZ blog.
What is the story behind this site?
Let me explain below!
As a worker in healthcare, I am constantly struck by the number of patients (and medical personnel) plagued by insomnia and high levels of stress. I have noticed that many of them are struggling to find ways to relax and get a good night’s sleep, despite trying everything from prescription sleep aids to over-the-counter remedies.
Many of them do not even realize how wound up they really are!
Determined to help, I began researching ways to improve the quality of one’s downtime and sleep, along with how to reduce stress levels and make life just a bit easier. I read countless books and articles and tried different techniques and products myself. Along the way, I discovered that many of the best solutions were surprisingly simple, and often involved changes to daily habits and routines.
One event that particularly stood out to me was when an office worker presented to the clinic for help with her insomnia. Despite trying everything from medication to therapy, she struggled to get a good night’s sleep. While briefly speaking with her, I suggested she try a weighted blanket, which she had never tried before, along with changing some of her nighttime routines. She was skeptical but decided to give it a try. During the next visit, she reported back that the blanket helped her sleep better than anything else she had tried before.
… But it did more than just that! The patient let me know that she felt like she had more energy during the day, was more in tune with the surroundings in her daily life, and as an added bonus it stopped her restless leg syndrome as well!
(Take that, legs!)
Of course, as tricky as insomnia is to treat medically, and considering the results this patient got from something very simple, it gave me a bit more of a holistic outlook on how small changes can completely alter the course of one’s life.
Folks are about as happy as they make their mind up to be.

A calm and modest life brings more happiness than the pursuit of success combined with constant restlessness.
– Albert Einstein
Another event (that inspired what you see before you!) was when I had a conversation with a shift worker in the hospital who had difficulty adjusting his sleep schedule due to the odd working hours. He mentioned that the shift work completely interferes with his downtime and that it was ultimately coming back to affect his relationship with his family. He had no time or energy for those closest to him, much less for himself and his own interests. Burnout was ready to jump out from behind a corner and give him a shakedown his career would never forget!
This made me realize that there is a secret epidemic across the world that no one notices, lurking in the shadows… I like to call it the “All go, no slow” syndrome! The feeling of being stuck on the highway with no exits. Lighting the candle at both ends. Society running you into the ground, mercilessly taking all the energy you have to give.
The question you should ask yourself is this:
Where are my time and energy being spent? Are they spent on me and my dreams, or on the interests and dreams of those at the top of some corporate totem pole?
Let’s slow down for once…
These experiences made me realize that there were many people like this who needed simple, yet effective solutions in taking their lives back. Inspired by this, I decided to start the blog here to share tips, tricks, and effective products with others that may help individuals navigate through this increasingly complex era.
My goal is to help people save time, become more productive, and relax more, so they can get the rest they need to lead healthier and happier lives.
From learning about mental health, emerging technology, exercise, and creating a relaxing bedtime routine, to providing reviews on various productivity and relaxation topics and products, I strive to give my readers the tools they need to improve their lives and reduce their stress levels.
Thanks for reading and best of luck on your journey!
We are all in this together!
